Hoya Densifolia was originally found and published  on the Island of Java, Indonesia. This terrestrial Hoya with its upright, shrublike growth habit can appear unruly at times.  Branches flop over when they get long and heavier especially when in flower, but they can be supported and trained if preferred. We have found this to be a prolific bloomer, at times forming up to four clusters of flowers per branch. Flowers are lemon in color and coronas red. Scent is sweet and fruity with warm, spicy undertones.

***Until 2019, when a full taxonomy study was conducted, this Hoya was confused with Cumingiana from the Philippines. Both species were described before the mid-1800’s, which means this study ended an almost two century long confusion and debate. The report describes numerous differences, ten of which are within the leaves.
