This fast-growing climbing, twining vine is endemic to rainforest and wetlands of Christmas Island. This remote 135sq km island is situated halfway between mainland Indonesia and Australia, in the warm blue of the Indian Ocean. Leaves of the Hoya Aldrichii IML1418 are light green, waxy with thin but noticeable vertical veins. Flowers have light pink petals and coronas are dark pink, with the surrounding anther yellow gold in color.
