EPIPREMNUM is a genus of Tropical flowering plants belonging to the Araceae family. They are widespread and found in tropical and temperate areas from China, the Himalayas and south east Asia to Australia and the Western Pacific.

EPIPREMNUM is derived from the Greek terms 'epi' (upon) and 'premna' (tree stump), referring to this evergreen vining climbers epiphytic growth habits of attaching to structures with aerial roots

The genus is incredibly diverse and depending on species and maturity of the plant, the shape, size, and texture of the leaves can vary considerably. In addition, some varieties exhibit variable leaf morphology having both juvenile and adult leaves on the same plant, which can be drastically different in appearance from one another.
